Tim Dorr Veteran Posted November 6, 2002 Veteran Share Posted November 6, 2002 no, he gave you the right link. on the apple store for the imac g3, they list them as only having cd-roms, not cd-rw drives.
lost_n_mad
Hoo, boy. OK. There are about four G3 600Mhz iMac models that were made. It really depends on which one of those models it is. Some of them have CD burners some only come with a CD-ROM. Personally I wouldn't worry too much. For about $150 you can get an IOmega cd burner, and it will work flawlessly with any mac that has USB (there hasn't been a mac without USB preinstalled since 1998). There are also some companies ( www.macresq.com , or www.shrevesystems.com ) that sell tray loading CD burners to replace the CD ROM (just make sure when buying the replacement drive that it is possible to boot from it). savestheday
thanks for the replies.... still so many options for me though. It really depends on how much i wanna spend on a mac. Is the ibook the way to go or an older version (cheap) imac?....so many possibilities
