The eDonkey2000 Network is no longer available.

If you steal music or movies, you are breaking the law.

Courts around the world -- including the United States Supreme Court --
have ruled that businesses and individuals can be prosecuted for illegal
downloading.

You are not anonymous when you illegally download copyrighted material.

Your IP address is xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and has been logged.

Respect the music, download legally.

Goodbye Everyone.

Wtf, I clicked on the link on your link and it's logged my IP address. Please tell me they're not doing anything, because I've never used eDonkey.

You should note your IP address is logged EVERY time you visit a page on the internet.

And to make this news a little more clear, the eDonkey2000 CLIENT software is no longer being offered. There are several alternative clients that are infact better, such as emule.

wtf? First of all, the edonkey website says no such thing as the above. Second of all, I thought the client was stopped long ago.

edonkey.com says that message, edonkey2000.com is down. Both are registered to MetaMachine. I haven't used the edonkey client in years, so I'm out of the loop.

Lol I nearly fell off my chair! The eDonkey network is alive and kicking in the form of eMule. The eDonkey client died a while back when they started with all the adware crap!

It should be noted that connecting to eDonkey servers within eMule works just fine. I believe that the RIAA has closed down the actual program itself, contrary to when they removed the server razorback.
