Neowin.net Xbox Community Leaderboards

Recommended Posts

There are two leaderboards you can join that rank your Gamerscore against other Neowin.net members. Add your Gamertag to one, the other, or better yet both of them! Details follow.

TrueAchievements.com

This is a newer leaderboard, created in February 2010. It ranks Gamertags based on what it calls a TrueAchievement score. This is similar to Gamerscore, except all achievement points are weighted according to how rare the achievement is (i.e. how difficult it is to obtain). It's a great concept, and you might find your position quite different from what it is on the other leaderboard. This one is open to anyone, so simply join the website and then add yourself to the leaderboard.

MyGamerCard.net

This is the original leaderboard, created back in October 2006 at the same time this topic was made. It ranks Gamertags based on pure Gamerscore, so the more achievement points you have, the further you will be up the table. The downside is it's limited to only 250 members, so if you want to join you need to send me a PM so I can add you manually the next time I update the list.

I dont see the big fuss about gamerpoints, it means nothing. I have played people with little points who are absolutly amazing, then people with loads who are pants. If there was a reward for them such as for every 1000 points microsoft give you 100 market place points that would be worth getting them.

I agree. I just think it's cool to have an up-to-date page with all our gamer profiles side-by-side.

The one thing I really like about them is that it often gets me to fully complete a game I wouldn't normally do everything in. Most games don't give you all the points just for beating the main storyline, so it encourages you to do all the extra side-quests or whatever.

And then there's the people who only care about their score, which, of course, is dumb.

Haha, cool stuff! I'm trying to add myself but it's not working for me quite yet, I'm sure it will eventually, though. :D (Y)

Oh, cool, thanks! I didn't realize that they send you a message to your Xbox.com Forum via PM... I thought it was a message on Xbox Live.

Cool stuff though, I can't believe I'm #4, I thought I'd be way down there! :p

I was going to sign up but asking for my full name, date of birth and post code really isn't needed for a service like this

No probs, I've added you to the list myself.
