My only dread is people exploiting this and bombing/spaming our wiis :( I dunno something to think about, the DS friend's code wasn't such a big deal as they sadly varied per game, but our Wii code is kinda forever for our one console. And if something like this does happen I think Nintendo has covered themselves by making it sorta against their rules to solicit your Wii code online to people you don't "know". That being sad I'll probably post mine later when I boot out of Zelda.

Dan, Will you be adding all of the Member's Wii Codes to your first post, a la my DS Friend Code thread?

That does make sense doesn't it :p

Sure

My only dread is people exploiting this and bombing/spaming our wiis :(

Both people need to have the number entered to be able to send and receive messages. So if you don't have a spammer in your list you can't get a message from them.

I like the idea, but not everyone would listen to instructions. I'm willing to do it, it's not that much time eaten up per day.

if the person starts spamming you, you can simply erase their entry in your address book..

Alrite I got my my wii last night and set it all up so i'm new to all this. I made my mii and were do I get my code? Is there something to do with wiiconnect24 because I keep trying to go to the user agreements page to activate it but it says cannot connect to internet even though when I go to test connection it works. I'm getting error number 52030.

So basicly three questions: Where is the number for you mii and how can I get wiiconnect24 to work and what is wiiconnect24 used for?

make sure you're getting a good connection. at first i could connect to the wireless network but i was dropping so many packets that the information wasnt getting through. try pinging your wii to see if it's dropping in and out. if it is, try setting the channel on your wireless router/ap to 1 or 11.

to find your wii number, click on the message icon in the bottom right corner on the main wii menu, then click on the far right address book icon. it should be on the first screen that shows up after that.

edit: oh and your third question. wii connect lets you get to all of the online features for the wii. such as shopping for virtual console games, weather and news (not implimented yet), and online play.

Thanks for answering. I found out it wasn't a stable connection but now it works, I kept trying and trying and it works now.
