SFkilla
Hello everyone, I know that not many people have a 4 Core or Dual Core Hyperthreading system, but technology is going fast and more and more people will soon have this kind of machine :) PS: The Multi Meter Quad Core will not work with a Single Core system or with a simple Dual core System, You need at least a Dual Core with Hyperthreading (2 Cores with 2 Threads on each Core) or a Reel Quad Core System! The Multi Meter Quad core shows you the Cpu usage of each Core of your system, It also informs you about the memory usage, the amount of Cpu Cores that are actually detected on the system and finally the computer architecture. Here is how it looks - The first 4 lines represent the different core's usage percentage. - The Fifth line represents the % of memory used at present. - The Last line represents the amount of Cpu Cores, the computer's Architecture (x86 or x64), The amount of Memory used and finally the total amount of Memory available on your machine. - Each Core status bar as an independent color - Status bars become orange at 80% and become red at 90% - Status bars are fully animated above 90% - 22 different background colors are available The background colors of the Multi Meter Quad are changeable and a preview of each Skin is visible in the settings of the gadget I hope you will enjoy this Gadget :p Download Quad: Multi Meter Quad Core (Q) Download Dual: Multi Meter Dual Core (D) Download on my board: My Webpage Click here Enjoy :) Edited November 25, 2006 by SFkilla

chconline Veteran Posted November 23, 2006 Veteran Share Posted November 23, 2006 I didnt even know you could buy quad core processors yet. They've been out for quite a few weeks now. does it suport the core 2 duo?? i don't know if it has HT or not Core 2 Duos does not have HT because of the Core architecture. It has been beta tested on a on a AMD Dual core with Hyperthreading, Amd X2 ;) If you have the latest Core 2 Duo , you should try it out and tell me if its working for the Multi Quad Core :) Your 'AMD Dual core with Hyperthreading' is just any dual core, because obviously there's no Hyperthreading on AMD Athlon 64 X2's. However the presentation of the processor data is identical. In practical terms a quad-core CPU can be accomodated by an ATX mobo. But his dual CPUs required an EATX mobo. cropcircles
They have already tested up to 8 Core processors in the labs and that number keeps going up according to PCmagazine. Job security and they'll release them every year or so. I guess allot of us with Pentium D's and upper P4 processors will be unloading them this next year. Looks like some great sales for Christmas. When will they start building the DDR right into the quadruple core processors. I'm sure memory sticks will be a thing of the past soon as well. And then we will be seeing external plug in video cards. Oh, I think they are out already?
