Again, the majority of people who buy consoles do not care about what goes on behind the scenes of a game maker. The PS2 is still outselling the other consoles even though it is made by the Sony (aka Lucifer) to many in here. It might be, though, that the Playstation 2 name is what's selling consoles (emphasis on the 2). The PS2 has many years in the market and really took the market by storm. People may not automatically buy a Playstation 3 if they read all the press about it out now. If they truly ironed out all their problems, then more power to them, they may be able to salvage a bad launch. And the bad news dont really show up there.. All the average parents have seen on the news is that everyone wants a PS3 (riot, shooting etc..) - But the news dont go in depth of the news (to sell it on ebay) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
xow Posted December 12, 2006 Share Posted December 12, 2006 my guess is that PS3 will sell more on the long run. even if it's worst that the other consoles (i'm not saying it is... peace!), it's got a better known name to the majority of the public and that matters a lot! Dude what press are you talking about regarding the PS3 besides these types of internet forums and sites? Most gamers don't read this type of stuff. I haven't seen anything negative in mainstream news. Plus the PS2 wasn't perfect. Promised Toy Story graphics and other crap that Sony didn't ever deliver. The majority of buyers don't care that Sony lied about that or other things similar. They will flock to the consoles that has the games that they like and brand name recognition.
