Kazaa Under Linux?

Recommended Posts

ok...here is the problem....i installed wine and it worked fine.....now i want to use kazaa lite on wine......i did some research and realized that i have to use some of the win98's dlls in order to make it work properly.......

1. one of my problem is that i don't have anymore win98 (2k/XP doesn't work according to source).

2. MY other problem is that my XP partition is formatted in NTFS....and i dodn't know how to recomplie the kernel and what i modification on the kernel i gotta do to make redhat be able to access the NFTS file system.

3.what i was thinking was to install windows98 on a partition of my second harddrive where my redhat linux is installed. but the problem is that when i installed linux, i used the grub boot loader......if i install 98 now, i'm afraid that i'll override the grub boot loader and i'll be unable to boot into linux or windows XP( which btw is on my first harddrive).

so, that's basically my little problem here......anybody can help me figure out a way to solve it? or is there another easier way......

thanks in advanced.....^^

Come on, that was not long. Do not bump the topic, it doesn't mean we are ingoring your topic. It means, someone isn't here nor not know what to answer. I think, I am going to hold my answer for 24 hours to teach you how-to-patience-and-stop-whine.

BTW: If you start with google.com right now and you will beat my 24 hours hold in the no time to find the answers.

lol so mean :p anyways

you can get NTFS working in linux by using this http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/index.html it worked for me when I was on RH8, pretty easy just follow the instructions, and about kazaa is this the site your using? Frank's Corner its a good site :)

LOL @ Mezz

Now you are teaching us the virtue patience. I agree though about using google, people say that others think it is the answer to everything, but if you just search, it actually can be. Thats where i usually go when im looking for any information at all. Google has been labled the hackers search engine, which makes scence. I have not tried to configure Kazaalite for linux, but i have seen many sites describing how it is done.
