Blu Ray defect on PS3

Recommended Posts

I get surround sound with my DVD player, Xbox 360, and anything on my PS3 EXCEPT for Blu Ray audio...which skips like crazy. Anyone else experiencing this. I have all the correct settings in the menu, so I cant figure it out.

my ps3 works like hot garbage

i like it and all...

well i really don't and i am trying to make my self feel better

SNES was 10x more exciting...

if they fix about 10 serious issues and actually make good games then it will be a nice buy

But check you setting on your receiver and the the BR/DVD audio setting in the menu... if you receiver is a special mode then it might garble the audio or handle the PCM wrong ... depends on settings on both sides

Chances are its a firmware bug. If you have a friend with a 5.1 (or better) setup, take it over to his house and try it out. If it works then, chances are your receiver isnt getting the right message. Either due to the settings on the ps3/receiver, or because of a bug thats sending incorrect information to the receiver, and yours just isnt "picking" up on it like the others.

Just my thoughts, so they are highly likely to be incorrect. 8)

Dude, the way Sony treats it's customers and competiton??? I like MS and all but they have to be one of the worst companies in regards to those two aspects and you support them? laugh.gif

Plus, the market leader is still really Sony. They do have the most systems out there right now counting the PS2. It's still selling really well, not to mention the PS3 has only been out for a few months and you call it crashing and burning. Seriously, way way way too premature to call this.

Microsoft are in a lot of devisions, at least this one knows how to treat their customers.

Go sell it on eBay for $2000+ while they're still in short supply :D

Those $2000 would make you feel even better.
