Okay, been using the theme patcher for a while now.

The other day I did a format and used the Autopatcher XP utility for all my windows updates. I then installed the theme patcher as per usual instructions. But I still cannot choose a new theme. Anyone got any ideas what might be stopping it from working?

All I see are the standard windows themes. Cannot even double click a new msstyle to activate it.

you can do it manually using replacer, usually works when the automatic patcher doesn't.
download the unlocked uxtheme.dll here:
http://www.neowin.ne...=...t&id=122794
download replacer:
http://www3.telus.net/_/replacer/

1.Run replacer.cmd. A black command prompt window should appear.
2.Browse to C:\Windows\system32 and find uxtheme.dll. Drag this file into the command prompt window. Press enter.
3.Drag in the unlocked uxtheme.dll from the desktop into the command prompt window. Press enter.
4.Confirm the replacement and wait for Replacer to finish. Press any key when prompted.
5.Reboot.
