I feel so sorry for you :( If it was 2.80, you could of downgraded to 1.50, and then upgraded to 3.02 OE-B and run all the ownage homebrew. Well, I heard the higher firmwares have been hacked (hence why 3.02 OE-B is possible), so a downgrader should be possible eventually. Anyway, I suggest Wipeout Pure, Lumines, Virtua Tennis: World Tour, Burnout Revenge, Metal Gear Acid (I, as a person who doesn't regularly play the MGS titles, found this enjoyable, for the record) as well as all of the above titles suggested. It goes in order of the exploits tha are discovered. Sry, but with 2.81 you can't run any homebrew. All you can do is run flash homebrew. AKA, copy flash games to your psp and play them through the web browser When a downgrader does come out, make sure to check that you don't have a TA-082. if you have one it is possible to downgrade, but you have use a special downgrader. A good website to start at (and for good games) is www.pspupdates.com Hope i helped to the person that has a 2.71 ta-082, you can downgrade!!! Mines on 2.81, forced update as i bought vice city and PES6 with it. That would have been what to get.Your loss; I recommend Burnout games, Tony Hawk and PES6. Hes not a idiot for that. A rumor is not 100%, and when will it be released? 2009? But of course i said hell with it.. Since there isn't really a need for me to play homebrew on my psp when i can run alot of the emus on my pc etc.. frogger Posted January 4, 2007 Share Posted January 4, 2007 (edited) not true. You can only play backed up games on 1.5 by using homebrew, and on Dark_Alex's custom firmwares. If you have 2.71 or older you can downgrade/upgrade to play backup games. Now you can also downgrade 2.8, but you should only attempt it if you now what you're doing. You can get sizes upto 4GB that fit into PSP and 8GB is due out soon which will be compatible with a PSP so why do we need a hard drive. 8GB? That with games, music, movies gets filled up really fast. While you're waiting, I'll be playing Final Fantasy VII, SOCOM, Tekken 3, Metal Gear Solid or Gran Turismo 2 on my 3.02 OE-B PSP. I hope you have fun waiting for an HDD-equipped version...since, of course, waiting for something that hasn't been announced and doesn't have a release date isn't moronic, right? :rolleyes: For the people with new PSPs at 2.81 or higher: don't upgrade! Downgraders are bound to be released soon. Once you get the 3.02 OE-B firmware and a large memory stick, you'll realize what other handhelds are missing hehe. This seems like an extreamly good deal. I always wanted one because the amount of crap you can do on it. Even if I were to sell it on ebay, I would still MAKE money on it. Those who said positive things, thank you. And yes, 2.81 truly sucks. I hope I can downgrade to 1.50 soon. As far as getting a DS, I hate Nintendo... On the other hand, I hate Sony too... Yeah, I got that for 360 though... I got a 1GB memory stick for $32 shipped off ebay... For now, I'm just gonna use it as an MP3/Video player. Until the downgrade for 2.81 comes out :) The only reason I got a PSP right now is because of the super cheap deal I got on it. Plus, their kinda cool.
