American Ninja Posted January 8, 2007 Share Posted January 8, 2007 Midway Brings Six Classics to PS3By Kris Graft Midway will be releasing six classics from its games catalog including Mortal Kombat II and Joust for download via the PlayStation 3 Network ImageOther games set to arrive on the console are Gauntlet II, Rampage World Tour, Rampart and Championship Sprint. The first of these online-enabled multiplayer games is scheduled for release early this year. Midway and Sony Online Entertainment revealed no specific release date. The competing console games download service Xbox Live Arcade plays host to a number of Midway games including Defender, Gauntlet, Joust and Robotron 2084. Like Microsoft, Sony will use its download service to deliver both previously released and new titles via online. Currently, the download size limit for Xbox Live Arcade titles is 50MB, while Sony?s limit is reportedly 500MB. icecaveman Posted January 8, 2007 Share Posted January 8, 2007 Good news, let's hope they will do better job than they did with the releases for the competition, if they support HQ2X filters or something like that I will purchase a PS3 even if it was only for downloadable games.
