neowin_hipster
In first year courses anyways, we're stuck using the m68hc12 chip. Its cost effective and everything but its not as powerfull as i'd like :p I know for a fact that later on that i will be using other chips, though i don't know which ones. 0 neowin_hipster
All of engineering options need to use these chips, but as for the 1st year courses that use them (for all engineering students), they are ensc 150 (intro computer design, for the software half), ensc 151 (lab/project), cmpt 250 (intro to computer architecture, not too sure about this one though) Edited December 2, 2002 by Goalie_CA

0 neowin_hipster
Why don't they just teach you i386 asm first!? All that legacy stuff kinda blows. Real mode vs virtual and all that other crap. Well i guess the hammer will have different "modes" and maybe it will be easier for you to decrypt.
