Damn I just got a 7600gt, should hav waited. Would an 8300 be massively better than it?

ooh how much power will they need and will they be massively long like the 8800? Finally how long will an 8600gt and a E6300 C2D last me?

(im used to playing last gen games)

they'll be faster than anything in the 7 series, save for the lowest end cards like the 8300

I'm going to (hopefully) build a new PC in summer, and I was gonna get a 7600gt but 8600gt seems to be the way to go then.

8600 Ultra looks neat, may get that and wait for E6350 Core 2 Duo.

Me too...will get atleast 8300 series...since it is Directx 10 compatible!...I am buying Vista ultimate & halo 2 for pc when it hits the market...So, my summer days are going to be COOL for me! :whistle:

excellent line up, but im still hating hte GTX/GTS names, bring it back to Ultra and GT like the 8600s

Looks nice, but newer cards will be out by the time I migrate to a PCI-e base lol (probably end of the year).

hmm...now that's something to consider. I was very close on deciding whether to get the 7600gt or the x1650xt within the next two months or so. i really didn't care about dx10 cards beacause i'm not always playing the latest games, but i'll probably wait for the dx10 cards.

how much power do they consume anyway? more than the 7900?
