Since the last time I was in whistler was about 5 years ago... Damn nice place. Damn nice. Went winter and summer - summer is awesome, the best mountain biking trails ever.. Right down the side of a mountain... what a rush. :)
Selkirk
I thought this was supposed to be funny? Anyway, it might have been small hint of marketing genious but I'm assuming they just like the way Whistler and it's Winter ways looked on the new book. Eh, I might be wrong. - Alex
Joel
Microsoft has a thing for codenames from geographical locations, they did cities (Chicago and others), mountains (Whistler, Blackcomb), this is not news.
unique
i think it is funny that you thought whistler was in the states, when it is 100% CANADIAN. Guess the assimilation of CANADA and the states will never cease. :(
Silvorgold
since it was explained bout 5 times but some ppl wont get the point...: whistler is a skiing resort (and a very rich town) in Whistler British Columbia, it is one of the most famous skiing resorts in the world, also known as one of the most beautiful places in the world, it's only a few hour drive from redmond... the coincidence of the word whistler being on the powerbook wouldnt have been meant to be mocking windows, since it's probably supposed to be a dvd bout skiing in whistler BC... btw..longhorn=i heard is named after a cafe in whistler blackcomb=town nearby whistler...
