BroChaos Veteran Posted January 22, 2007 Veteran Share Posted January 22, 2007 well my 2 year old first gen slim ps2 died on me :( laser conked out, which i guess happens to a lot of v12s. i bought a new laser, and replaced that, and now the discs won't spin up. anybody know what i did that would kill the disc motor? Yep. Bought it the day it released in the US. I've only dropped it once but it seems to be doing fine so far...
soniqstylz
Hmm.. I had my first PS2 for about 5 years (pretty much to the day), and got a new Silver Slim for x-mas this year. My old PS2 still works, tho, gonna sell it to a friend. I just wanted the slim one to go with my silver TV and Surround receiver.
