reactionary007 Posted December 7, 2002 Share Posted December 7, 2002 i'm trying out linux for the first time. redhat 8 looks great... one problem though... i'm trying to download programs and some of them have a .bin extension. when i double click on them they just open up as text. what am i doing wrong? Fotix Posted December 7, 2002 Share Posted December 7, 2002 Right click on them. Save as file... command or whatever it is on the browser you're using. If you're trying to run them, it's best if you do so on the command line, like typing ./name-of-file.bin in the file's location. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
