Codes

Yeah, gameshark basically has no hackers left in the US and send their games off to the UK (Xploder) team to get hacked, thereby slowing both products down considerably. Codeboy left Datel and codejunkies has since released the ARds so they lost a great hacker and are busy with hacking nds codes. Codebreaker only has 1 hacker (CMX) and he's apparently been busy hacking codes for the newly released codebreaker ds and doesn't seem to have much time for PS2 hacking these days. The best place to get unofficial codes is at codemasters-project.net. There are some very skilled hackers there and they even help out CMX and get loads of codes submitted to cmgsccc.

I myself don't do much PS2 hacking. I just don't understand mips assembly and would rather find codes by training and poking memory addresses than pouring over game assembly looking for labels and referers.

One of the admins and and a few of the other staff members at cmp run the ECB as well. They have codes for US games there too. Although it's in German, it's not at all difficult to navigate.
