Island Roots
Which one should I get? I was at first going to get a 14.1", but now I'm leaning towards a 12.1", since the max resolutions for both sizes are the same (1024x768). Also, why is the battery life for the 12.1" model lower than that of the 14.1" model?
Chad
WEll I'm all about the 12inch. Smaller, lighter, and like you said has the same res. As far as battery, I think they are putting a bigger battery in the 14"ers to power the bigger computer, and it just happens to last longer (by their estimates). Gator
I'm all about the 12" too, its what I have. The screen is crystal clear and is the perfect size for the iBook. The 14" is a little bulky and just doesn't look right.
azazel-
I <3 my 12" iBook. The 14" looks sorta...odd, like, not Apple-designed, for some reason. Just kinda clunky. The 12" is so small and light, I can just take it anywhere, and almost forget I'm carrying it.
iamnotwhoisayiam
I've just ordered a 12.1" iBook 700 combo drive. I went for the 12.1" because its small and light and looks great. This was one of my main reasons for trying out a mac over getting a pc laptop (my main rig is a PC). The size is great and so is the battery life, unlike PC's in the same price bracket. --WeeJames :D
Silvorgold
i got an 800mhz 12.1" ibook yesterday, and so far, i havent had any problems with the computer at all :D, 14.1" is just a little too expensive for only 2" more screen....at the same resolution, just get the 12.1" model, u wont be disappointed :)
