MulletRobZ
Darn! This one's got my goat! I was trying to install some Windows fonts by using the Mandrake Control Centre and by adding the directory to the XF86Config-4 file. However, the Mandrake Control Centre always stalls my system and therefore, I can't access any more files on my NTFS drive. I also tried to copy the fonts to my Linux partition and then modified the XF86Config-4 file so that path would be recognized. However, xfs didn't pick that up. Has anyone else in here have that problem when trying to import Windows fonts in Mandrake-Linux 9.0? Then again, I got like over 500 fonts in my Windows Font directory, including the style formatting versions of the fonts.
karmakillernz
I'm not sure what MDK9 is using for fonts, but check to see if there is an /etc/fonts/font.conf file. Fonts directories will also need to be in there.

Prasanth
Just use the control center, I think its crashing because there are too much fonts on your fonts dir, copy the fonts you need to some other dir and install using the control center. MulletRobZ
So in other words, I should just install about 50 or so fonts at a time to prevent a stall. Right?
mezz
Umm, Mandrake uses Xft1, correct? Or, Xft2/Fontconfig?
