happymonkey
Release Notes for RealOne Player v2 Update Updated 2002-12-16 Build 6.0.11.853 Introduction The following is a list of significant Bug Fixes for RealOnePlayer v2 since the September 23, 2002 release (Build 6.0.11.818). Product Description RealOnePlayer is one easy way to play every media format in one amazing player. Jukebox, Player, Media Browser, Best Subscription all in one place! New Features added in this release and Enhancements No new features for RealOnePlayer v2 Update Release. Important Bug Fixes Playback Resolved problem that prevented playback of secure media (MCS) content in the Embedded Player (RealOne Player presented as part of a Web page). Fixed bug that prevented RealServer Authentication from working with RealOne Player v2 clients that were connecting via HTTP Cloaking (RTSPviaHTTP, PNAviaHTTP). On all operating systems, fixed buffer overflow issues in RealOne Player. For details, please visit http://service.real.com/help/faq/security/index.html. On all operating systems, Embedded Player wasn't showing up on IE5 after playback of 2-3 clips. Enhanced Premium content authentication. RealOne Player Embedded Player was hanging when playing certain clips from MTV.com. DVD/CD Playback On Windows 98 and ME systems, RealOne could misinterpret blank CD-R media as audio CDs when inserted into CD-R and CD-RW drives. In such cases, RealOne would incorrectly prompt you with the dialog 'Do you want to record these tracks?'". On Windows 98 and XP systems, Realone Player was having problems to playback NEC CD drive digitally. We were able to Record on the same drive fine but wasn't able to playback digitally. On some systems we were unable to playback CDs digitally, this has been fixed. CD Burning Users without Power User or Administrator privileges on Windows 2000 and Limited users on XP systems are not able to burn CDs using RealOne Player. Install/Overinstall Fixed an issue when RealOnePlayer is minimized & user clicks on RealOne Player icon on the desktop won't do anything. It will now indicate the user of minimized RealOne Player. On all operating systems, RealOne Player wasn't removing listview.dat and treestate.dat when over installing RealOne Player. These 2 files will now be removed during Over Install. Restricted User On XP systems with Limited user access, not able to switch to downloaded skins. On XP systems with Limited user access, if any Localized RealOne Player was installed on the machine & user logs in as limited user, h/she was seeing Localized text mixed with English. Users without Power User or Administrator privileges on Windows 2000 and Limited users on XP systems are not able to burn CDs using RealOne Player. Media Library On all Operating Systems, optimized viewing of tracks in Library especially in case of large Media Libraries. If users were seeing redraw issues in Media Library, it is fixed. On XP systems, RealOne Player was displaying corrupted characters instead of extended characters in the search field.
