hello

i have the 5 cds of linux redhat 8.0

and i extracted the files to my documents

but i can't find the setup does somene knows

how do i install it

please READ THE WEBSITE :)

They have a ton of guides there, including install, setup, configuration and everything else.

boot off of the cd's to install it, it is really easy. Linux doesnt have "setup.exe" etc.

This is a nice way of telling you to RTFM

You just need the first 3 cds for the installation the 4th and 5th are source disks.

Because, he doesn't read over at redhat.com in the first place. It's not hurt to have five CDs thought.

burn the first 3 cds onto cds.. burn the last 2 if you want. Reboot. Boot from your cdrom. You're may have to play with yoru cmos some depending on how your mobo works. and you should be good.. if you can't i think there are boot disks for you so that you can boot off floppy but i could be wrong.

Go to that link above and tell me which part you don't understand. I will explain on what part that you don't understand. Honestly, you just have to try, because you can't understand without have try it yet.

You are going to have a hard time with linux then. You better keep your windows partition also.
