hifive
I just purchased something, however since Friday night it's been at "Data has been received by Fed-Ex." This means that fedex does not have the actual package, right? Or does it just mean that Fed-Ex doesn't update tracking information on weekends? Thanks
P!P
All the shipping companies have really crappy and outdated tracking for the most part. It appears to be fairly random. Sometimes I get updated information but I often get updates go from "Package received" and the next update is "Delivered". The information is updated on the weekends. It's just generally very lagged information.
gdodson
Fedex doesn't ship stuff on the weekend unless you've specifically paid for that service. It'll update on Monday.
tcsdoc
They only update during business hours Mon-Fri. Even then, tracking updates are sporadic. I can't begin to tell ya how many packages have arrived at my home while the tracking info still says 'In-Route'. This is true for both UPS (horrible tracking updates) and FedEx (not so bad at tracking updates). Forget the USPS tracking system. That is a joke. Laurë Veteran Posted May 6, 2007 Veteran Share Posted May 6, 2007 Well it won't say delivered while it is actually en-route to your home...
Rob2687
I've found DHL's tracking too be pretty good.
Edklite
if data was received on Friday then on Monday either they have it and it will be scanned for departure or worst case they will go get it, all and all it will not make that much of a difference. at-least FedEx will deliver it when it gets to you, ups sometimes get it in town early and sits on it till due date and don't even get me started on crappy arse dhl.
