cyberfox2004
Microsoft has just announced its Surface Computing technology, a project that has been kept under wraps for five years. Microsoft's tabletop PC--reach out and touch. There's no mouse or keyboard needed for Microsoft's new tabletop computer called Milan, which is entirely controlled through touch. http://zdnet.com.com/1606-2_2-6186146.html?tag=nl.e589 I just want to say wooow for this amazin tech. halcyoncmdr
I remember a year or so ago a similar presentation with multi-touch technology. But I don't think that presentation had wireless data transfers built-in. Definitely a different type of computing... :D

DrBroccoli
Where's the wireless? My video just had Painting > Photos > Menus > Paying?
Mordkanin
Where's the wireless? My video just had Painting > Photos > Menus > Paying? When you put the zune on it, or put the camera on it, both were communicating wirelessly. Sure hope it's not running on vista! Why would you say that? In any case, I believe it's been said that it runs on top of Vista somewhere else.

Lycan
^ Microsoft didnt say they invented this technology. I've seen the video you're referring to and others before too. Microsoft is the first to come up with real world applications interacting with it. They will actually launch this product this year in the range of 5k-10k if i remember correctly (couldnt find back the source). Thats very affordable for big companies. The years later there should be variations coming up being more affordable for the average consumer. Who would've thought we are going to get this kind of innovative technology so soon? Credits to Microsoft this time!
