neowin_hipster
Just as the linker kicks into action i get this error drivers/built-in.o: In function `kd_nosound': drivers/built-in.o(.text+0x3adf0): undefined reference to `input_event' drivers/built-in.o(.text+0x3ae12): undefined reference to `input_event' drivers/built-in.o: In function `kd_mksound': drivers/built-in.o(.text+0x3aec5): undefined reference to `input_event' drivers/built-in.o: In function `kbd_bh': drivers/built-in.o(.text+0x3bd62): undefined reference to `input_event' drivers/built-in.o(.text+0x3bd85): undefined reference to `input_event' drivers/built-in.o(.text+0x3bda4): more undefined references to `input_event' follow drivers/built-in.o: In function `kbd_connect': drivers/built-in.o(.text+0x3c2b4): undefined reference to `input_open_device' drivers/built-in.o: In function `kbd_disconnect': drivers/built-in.o(.text+0x3c2df): undefined reference to `input_close_device' drivers/built-in.o: In function `kbd_init': drivers/built-in.o(.init.text+0x23d1): undefined reference to `input_register_handler' I think there may be a bug in the configure script. Does anyone know how to fix it. Has anyone succesfully compiled a 2.5.* kernel recently?
Vlad
Yes. 2.5.53 compiles fine for me. Sounds like some of your dependencies are broken. Try doing a 'make clean dep && make bzImage && make modules' to see if your kernel will compile. It is possible that you forgot to include a dependency in your kernel configuration (looks like input core support...). If all else fails, do a 'make mrproper', reconfigure your kernel, then compile. neowin_hipster
Well i changed "Input devices" (seems like the new name for input core) to built in rather than module and it compiled..
