Otherwise CDMA rules all, in signal quality, voice quality, speed, etc. It's a shame that GSM is used so widely. Oh, and GSM gets all the cool phones, or at least it seems most of the time. tao muon Posted July 10, 2007 Share Posted July 10, 2007 CDMA=faster download speeds, best privacy (spread spectrum), hardest to crack (the AIR INTERFACE)- that doesn't mean they can't record your conversations on a CDMA phone- it's just harder for the casual person to do. UMTS=the world doesn't want to use what USA wants to use, so they tweak it and make a 'new' standard... but borrow heavily on the USA and accuse us of not following standards. You all don't get it- most people I come across prefer our wireless systems. I dont know if is possible now, but some years ago it was possible. I was asking because I read it in wikipedia(spanish version) and I dont know if is true.
