Media player with loud sound


Question

hey guys when i try to play some video files like avi file types. the sound is sometimes too low. how can i increase the volume level?

I have tried media player classic which is a decent player but sometimes it doesn't work gr8 for the sound

how can i boost the sound please let me know thanks

There are three things (that I know of) that make volume low...

1: Media Player vol. is off or low

2: Wave is low

3: External speakers are low

thanks for telling me tho

can someone please let me know how can i customize the sound level in the media player. any way to increase the sound of the videos other than listed above?

Certain software will alter the volume for all media output. Check your other media software like Real Player and Media Player, and increase the volume of all of them.

dfx plugin aint freeware

altho i have found another way

bs player provides you option to customize audio equalizer

that helped me

Media Player Classic has a normalize/boost function in the Options=>Audio Decoders section.

Have you tried it? Also, you can use ffdshow's EQ/DSP with MPC.

I'm guessing the audio is quiet because it may be 5.1 audio, in which case i believe you have to use a filter like AC3 Filter to make it louder.
