Recommended Posts

I thaught that it would have been posted by now but..

Finally, Messenger Plus! 2 has been offically released by Patchou, the program that many .NET Messenger user's love and depend on.

The program's website has been so popular since the release, that all of the urls, except the forum are down. The URL for their offical forum (and to download) is http://msgplus.mybboard.com/

This new version is stable enough not to be beta and is definately new- new features and new look.

Many new features are:

Event Log Viewer

Lock Messenger

POP Mail Support (to check how many new emails you have)

Invididual Contact Sounds (plays a sound for certain contacts that have been defined by you)

And easier use and a spanking new logo :p!

Everything else has been much improved greatly :D

From their forums, the author, patchou writes:

No, it's not a joke... finally, it'S available... I promized it for the first week of january, well, I guess we're still in it. Current link is http://pages.infinit.net/patchou8/MP2014.exe . When you'll install it you'll see that it opens a page on my web site. It is supposed to contain some information for first time users. However, my web site is currently down so it will display an error 404. Don't worry about that.

Hope you'll all tell me what you think about it! there's not suppsoed to be any major bug (for example, Messenger is not suppsoed to crash for any reason) but if you find one, be sure you report it on this forum. I have 'till friday to correct it and release an update.

I hope the alpha testers will help those won't don't understand some of the features. Everything has been designed to be accessible by everyone but well, you never know.... some features are "hidden" (meaning they can be set only by knowing the proper registry value to add). All be documented on my web site, again, when it will be back online. In the meatime, I guess I'll post some information on the forum from time to time.

First tip: try to use the (!P) tag in your Quick Texts... it allows you to use parameters... like "Hello (!P)".

Enjoy!

Patchou.

There is also a list of mirrors since it is so popular (hopefully neowin will add one too):
