ctrlaltdel Posted January 10, 2003 Share Posted January 10, 2003 New screenshots have recently been released of Midnight Club II, the latest game from the Rockstar stable - the people behind the Grand Theft Auto series. The super-speedy racing sequel sees you having to tear round three city locations - Paris, LA and Tokyo - in illegal races in which you're free to take any path you choose. So shortcuts, secret routes and, of course, major crashes are all inevitable. And, as the shots below show, in addition to cars, you're also given the opportunity to race it up on a variety of motorbikes. But, despite the general illegality of it all, don't expect much in the way of GTA-esque gameplay - you can't exit your vehicle, for instance. Instead, the emphasis is firmly on Burnout/Project Gotham-stylee street racing. The PS2 release date is set for the 31st of January with Xbox and PC versions to follow.
