whYeNQue
What can you say to a bunch of talented guys spending 6 months to produce something for free that one of them got inspiration from looking at a picture. "Thanks guys, now get back to work on another program to colour my poor and dull life" Well I haven't tried this program before, I was waiting for Version 1 because i didnt want to get spolit with the buggy betas. Now I feel a sense of anticipation as the download starts over my 56k modem at a speed of 3.5 kb/s at 4:30 am the night before my final exam for macroeconomics. Time to read what they said on the release of this epic piece of essential software at their site "CodenameDashBoard": January 16, 2003: Today marks the first release of the popular Codename: Dashboard application. This is the culmination of nearly six months of work for the design team, and three months of beta testing by our group of dedicated volunteers. Codename: Dashboard is an application that resides at the side of your screen. It is a host for interchangeable components, allowing you to have access to whatever information you want, on your desktop, all the time. Two versions of Codename: Dashboard are available for download: the standard Version 1.0 release, for end users, and a Developer's release, which removes much of the error-handling code, allowing for better debugging of components in development. System Requirements for Version 1.0: Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP The Microsoft .NET Framework V1.0 with Service Pack 2 64MB RAM for Windows 98/ME, 96 for Windows 2000, 128 for Windows XP System requirements check..... 3/3 ticked! My heart beats as i open my freshly downloaded .msi package... Edited January 17, 2003 by whYeNQue
