If it does instead of a trip to JL tomorrow I may just go to PCWorld and buy a 120/160GB drive. I know you're screaming but why accept faulty goods! - But if it's just the drive that is bad, all I can really say to you is I planned to upgrade it anyway, so im not really loosing out on any money or anything. Damn piece of **** Fujitsu 40Gb that failed after 1 day. I don't think I cba returning the console, so I'll go to PC world tomorrow and buy a new laptop drive! Where do you live? I'm shipping some crates of stella & some hookers yer way! Can't believe I didn't think to try this. PS3 with the 40GB drive is working fine now! Thanks :) My only conclusion is I somehow corrupted my profile on my 40GB and each time my 40GB PS3 was trying to load it it was failing. When putting your drive with your profile on it into another system, for obvious security reasons it forces you to format - format = clean slate which = no more profiles on the drive. Could be a "slower" drive. Yeah it will be classed as 5400RPM, but as I've proven tonight, different consoles have different branded drives. The 60GB was packed up and ready to be shipped to a lady in Ireland! I'm sure she won't have minded me opening it one last time before I say my goodbye ;) Took my ages to unpack it though, I packed the thing like a tank with foam/bubble wrap and other protective sheets to avoid any damage/box bashes whatsoever. I don't even have my new HDTV yet :( Should be here next week, for now I'll enjoy high quality SD gaming! :p (obviously I could hook back to the main HDTV, but im fed up sharing that with the family - time to do some 24/7 folding now ;)) Risen? My 60Gb sold for bang on ?500 with, Resistance Pro Evo 2008 6 PS2 games - GTA3/Vice City/San Andreas, KH, FFX and Brothers in Arms 1 Blu Ray - Casino Royale 4 DVDs - FF7 AC, T2, Team America and something else. EnzoFX Posted January 5, 2008 Share Posted January 5, 2008 i had an issue with my ibook a couple of years ago, it was acting just plain weird, sometimes no image, wouldn't load properly, eventually i realized it was the hdd failing, too bad it was just out of warranty, and i tried getting compusa to install a new drive that i had bought, there fee was like $30 and the ibook was incredibly complicated to take apart. I know this because after they're inability to install it properly, i was F them and did it myself. This after they got ****ed off and told me they should be charging me hundreds since its a laptop.
