...am I crazy, or did The Miz actually slip in a reference to the Shocker on Miz TV?

That wasn't a slip in. That was a direct reference. And its not really a reference to the shocker, its a reference to the two holes.

Still, it's ironic that earlier in the show, Vince catches Vickie in that pose with Hornswoggle and The Great Khali, then remarks "I thought this was a family show.", and then later on, Miz says that! :p

I thought it was sad that WWE gave away on Raw no less than 3 matches far and away better than anything from Final Resolution - that some people actually paid for. I also loved the crowd cheering for the Usos, especially on the first pinfall before the crowd knew it was elimination style. I wish I knew who it is that hates them.

There are reports that WWE has signed former DX member Billy Gunn (Kip Sopp) as a NXT developmental trainer. Gunn has done some work with developmental talents at NXT earlier this year and it was reported after RAW 1000 that officials may bring him back as a trainer.

WWE officials are looking to be more edgier with RAW. The feeling is that Vince McMahon isn't behind the new push but obviously is on-board with it. Vince realizes that numbers are down and it's said that he is open to suggestions.

With the low ratings, WWE officials want to put out a product that's a little different than what we've seen over the past year or so. We can also expect to see more wrestling-heavy WWE programming.

If that's true, THANK THE HEAVENS OF HHH AND/OR WHOMEVER IS DOING THIS.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those IWC weirdos that goes insane and wants the Attitude era back, since that'll never happen. But edgier, more wrestling heavy stuff is the exact thing WWE needs. It doesn't need to curse or have hot chicks running around doing weird things every single second. It needs Bryan vs. Punk or Ziggler vs. Del Rio etc in matches that last longer than 3 minutes.

Also, Paige.

I really hope it's true as well. It is possible to put on a good edgy show for adults without going back to the Attitude era. Just look at some of the other promotions (the bigger ones, obviously, like ROH, NJPW, TNA, CMLL, etc.). It's easily possible to put on a great show whether it's TV-14 or PG; it's just that if you're PG, you usually have to be a bit more imaginative...

I am actually digging Reigns atm, I think strangely (and obviously) he'll be the break out star of the group due to his family connections and size

WWE has started polling fans in focus groups online about what they live and don't like about the Divas division and what roles they would like to see the Divas in going forward. Some of the discussed roles beyond wrestling were love interests for the Superstars, General Managers, ringside managers, hosts for WWE programming, reality programming and dancers.

Anyone else think of the Nitro Girls at the end?

Oh, a couple of spoilers about to follow (one for Tribute to the Troops, and one for SmackDown)...

During the Randy Orton/Sheamus vs Dolph Ziggler/Big Show match it looked like Orton injured his right wrist/hand after punching Dolph. The ref immediately did the injured sign and a trainer tended to Orton during the match.

During this week's Friday Night Smackdown taping, Orton was put through a table by members of the Shield. WWE then announced to the live crowd that he may have suffered a concussion, as well as a separated shoulder.
