There are conflicting reports about the Dean Ambrose vs. The Undertaker match that took place at Tuesday's WWE SmackDown tapings from London.

It was originally reported as the dark main event of the tapings. Several fans in attendance have noted that it was actually the main event of the TV show taped. A promo aired earlier in the night where The Shield announced Ambrose was coming for Taker tonight. It was also stated in a promo that The Undertaker would be in action on the broadcast.

Apparently the part where Triple H and The New Age Outlaws ran down to save Taker from The Shield was the dark part of the segment. The Taker vs. Ambrose match may be airing on Friday night's SmackDown episode.

Vince McMahon suddenly realises "Extreme Rules" is an oxymoron

vince-mcmahon.jpg

World Wrestling Entertainment Chairman Vince McMahon was mortified this morning when he realized that the name of the upcoming WWE pay-per-view, Extreme Rules, is a nonsensical oxymoron.

?Wait a second!? McMahon blurted while eating his breakfast at the McMahon mansion in Connecticut. ?The rules aren?t extreme! If anything, the rules don?t even exist! Oh man, this is embarrassing.?

In his epiphany, McMahon realized what most literate wrestling fans have known for years ? the term ?Extreme Rules,? when taken literally, means precisely the opposite of what it is intended to convey.

The annual event, inspired by the no-holds-barred mentality of Extreme Championship Wrestling, features matches in which the usual rules do not apply.

Far from being ?extreme,? the rules are significantly relaxed in order to allow the use of weapons and other typically illegal offense.

?We?ll I?ll be damned,? McMahon mused to himself. ?I never thought of it that way.?

McMahon has since announced that next year?s incarnation of the pay-per-view will be called ?Extremely Lax Rules.?

As noted, independent wrestler Sami Callihan was recently undergoing some medical tests for WWE. These are the tests done right before signing a deal so he may be officially with the company here soon. WWE picked up several wrestlers from the recent tryouts and one of those may be Mike Bennett from Ring of Honor.

Mike Bennett, huh? If he gets signed, then that'll almost certainly mean Maria will be returning as well.

At the April 21st show in Geneva, Antonio Cesaro worked as a babyface since they were in Switzerland. He was booked against William Regal so the two could work a classic European style match. Cesaro ended up getting the win.
