A Californian woman wants her late Pitbull Terrier Booger back and has requested to clone the animal to the same stem cell specialists from Korea who were responsible for cloning the first dog ever.

By allowing to publish the Booger II story, she's getting a considerable discount. While the whole process costs $150,000, it will cost her "only" $50,000.

The Korean company hopes to clone 500 pets each year.

At first i thought she was a bit crazy ($50000 :o) but the article says the dog saved her life by attacking another dog which was attacking her and had already bit her arm off! The thing is, it isn't actually the same dog (even if its exactly the same genetically) so i think its a bit pointless, i understand why people would do it though since ive got a cat, dog, rabbit, 2 chinchillas and a rat (one died :().

Producing a physical clone of the dog will not result in cloning the personality, which is largely shaped through experience rather than physiology. She's basically paying $50,000 for a puppy that will likely have a completely different personality than her previous dog. She's flushing her money down the toilet.
