h3xis
I'm not sure if this is intentional or not but using the 'Previous' button in Foobar2000 stops whatever music I am playing instead of playing the previously played song. I can't seem to figure out why it's doing this. What could be the problem?
0 Shannon
Is your playback mode set to Random? If so, you can't use the Previous function. Foobar doesn't keep a history of what songs its played and in what order, and seeing the songs are picked at random, it can't calculate what song was played previously. 0 h3xis
I guess that would be it then :p I wish the dev(s) would allow it to do so :/ This is the first player I've come across that won't let you do that.
0 Eric Zhang
I was able to go to the prev track on random only up until today. I believe foobar uses the current song as a seed to calculate the next song for random, so it was able to go to the prev track. Somehow up until now it was working, and then now it just stops...wt?!? 0 snaphat (Myles Landwehr) Member Posted January 5, 2014 Member Share Posted January 5, 2014 That logic doesn't make sense because you wouldn't be able to recover previous seeds from the current song. Foobar2000 has always had that behavior when using random. You were probably using shuffle and not random.
