trikster Posted March 9, 2003 Share Posted March 9, 2003 I don't know if you've heard of this game yet, but I figured I'd post here since no one mentioned it before. It's a new game being developed by Crytek using the CryENGINE (go figure). The CryENGINE seems to be capable of doing real-time anything, from amazing weather effects to amazing draw distances to lighting to bump mapping to vehicle physics. All this, plus the game looks NICE. It also comes with a CryENGINE Editor which lets the user create their own world in seconds, and play it as they make it. For example, you could raise land to make it a hill, add grass, add a tree on the hill, add an enemy, and instantly start fighting the enemy. This game is amazing. The demo shows off the CryENGINE editor that I was talking about earlier in the post in all its glory. From watching the demo, you'll see how incredibly amazing this game really is.
