UncleSpellbinder
This update, Update for Windows Vista x-64 based systems (KB947562), gives the following: FAILED: Error Code 8024200D. I went here and downloaded the standalone installer. and got this after attempting to install: The update does not apply to your system. Not sure why Windows Update says Update for Windows Vista x-64 based systems (KB947562) when the downloaded installer says Windows6.0-KB947562-x86. Is this an issue I should be worried about? Is there a way to "fix" it if I need this update?
CrashG
I've had similar items on Vista 32 and XP, if it says it doesn't apply to your system, don't worry about it. Because...well... The update does not apply to your system. :)
UncleSpellbinder
Thanks, Crrash. Just seemed odd that the update would say "64-bit" yet when I download the standalone installe ist says "x-86". Weird.
CrashG
I had one the other day on Patch Tuesday, it said it was recommened, so I selected it then checked the log and it said that one of the updates did not apply to my system (same patch, two different Vista machines). Go figure.
