When I indicate, on one side it goes "click. . . . click. . . . click. . . .click" but then on the other it goes "click click click click", kinda twice as fast. Sorry, I know that is fairly lame, but you will (surely?) know what I mean. The question is, what causes it? I have read (on another forum) that it means one of the bulbs have gone. That is fair enough, I just hope it is the front one :p However, further down the post it says perhaps a fuse is blown? I haven't investigated very much as I have had a lot of work on recently, but when I put on my warning lights, it flashes as normal, so it only faults when indicating. Just check which one it is and change it out yourself. You should be able to find the 'bulb change' section in the manual and follow along. Takes less than 5 mins to replace. I guess it not really a 'feature' in the traditional sense but a by product of how the circuit is build. We can call this a feature as it advises us when we need to change bulbs. "Because the operation of the flashers is dependent on the current flow through them, any change in the voltage applied will also have an effect on the flash rate. An increase in voltage will cause a corresponding increase in the current, which will cause a corresponding increase in the flash rate. A decrease in voltage will have the opposite effect. Circuit resistance also has an effect on the flasher rate. More resistance reduces the current flow, and less resistance increases it. Barring a short circuit, the only way to reduce resistance in the circuit it to replace the normal bulbs with bulbs of a higher wattage rating. Higher wattage bulbs draw more current than lower wattage bulbs. This is one way of solving a slow turn signal flash rate problem..." Sir Topham Hatt Posted December 3, 2008 Author Share Posted December 3, 2008 See, this is where it gets more fun with my car as this morning when I was scraping the ice of my windows while the heated winscreen did the rest, I tested it and the flasher blinked as usual. I thought it was the cold that had made it flash so affectionately in the beginning, but it seems it is just an intermitant fault. All bulbs working fine.
