I use version 6 which is like...23 MB to install (approximately) and then the map I use occupies around 1.5 GB of space. So even a 2 GB card could run it. But it's not like it's a big deal to get an 8 GB microSD card for under 20 bucks. As a complete side item, I must comment that I simply love using a cooked ROM as opposed to the straight WM6.1, for example.
