I went and downloaded it and tried to install it, but it said: "This update is not applical to your computer".

And i have the version of 7 Beta that was released today, so maybe its already updated?

Well, this should teach me not to use a pre-beta version of an OS. This happened to me on 6956, but the weird part is it only started happening in the last week. Or maybe I only started noticing it in the last week.

Either way, what a bad time for this to happen. It seems to have affected a great number of my mp3, and just when I was in between back-ups. Some of my mp3's have lost up to 18-20 seconds.

ISO downloaded from Microsoft, with the official key...
2 ( two! ) ****ing gigs of music wasted. I really hope that the backup I have somewhere in the wardrobe has all the original files.
I know it's a beta, but ****, IT'S A BETA, NOT AN MILESTONE! Bugs like this shouldn't remain at this point of development!
And why the update wasn't in windows update? The first thing I did after installing the beta was starting the update, knowing of the MP3 problem. When it found ad installed an update I thought it was the MP3's. But it wasn't.
And I just found that nearly 500 of my audio files bid farewell...
I downloaded and installed the update from the windows site, but it was too late...
And to think that i was starting to love Seven...

Maybe, but I was under the impression that the leaked build was the same as that targeted for the Beta 1 release. I'll believe you when Beta 1 is released and is different than the leaked build.
Oh, look.
U're right! The build is exactly the same of the leaked. They didn't even bother to release an updated version of the software for the beta testing...

How many times do I have to say that users of the public beta won't have to worry about this problem? Whether it's the same build or not isn't the issue.
No, they don't have to worry, do they?!?! :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh:
