Electric Jolt Posted January 13, 2009 Share Posted January 13, 2009 Can I deposit money using an ATM that accepts MasterCard with my PayPal Debit so I can put it into my PayPal funds? Well, it comes with a story. Long story short, I had a PayPal I never used, and over 60 days went by, checking off an application requirement for a PayPal Debit, and then Christmas was right around the corner and I asked my Mom if she could put her bank account on my PayPal. She did, and that checked off yet another application requirement for a PayPal Debit, and around the time I was using eBay I changed my PayPal to premier, and the last application requirement for a PayPal Debit was complete. I noticed I could get one, applied for one, about a week in a half later came an email saying I was accepted and one was being sent out. It came, and yeah, thats when I started getting in trouble with advertising and surveys, and boom, there goes my Mom's bank account, she closed it. My PayPal never recognized that it was a closed account, and I attempted to download a song in iTunes, and what happened was PayPal attempted to use the backup funding, did not work, and then iTunes found out the transaction did not go through. So both wanted money from me, and I am under age. I paid iTunes my 2 dollars (it was about that), and PayPal still needs money from me. I want to use PayPal and they didn't change my debit card AFAIK. So after all this, my PayPal account is still verified, it does not have a bank account attached, just a debit card, and an outstanding balance of $2.17. My original question was if I could deposit cash using an ATM that accepts MasterCard with my Paypal Debit card, so I can pay the outstanding balance of $2.17 and also enjoy using the PayPal account again. Another question after reading that short story (just imagine the long story!) is will I get denied everytime I try buying something at a place using this card, even if I put 55 dollars in it? Sometimes I would get denied using this card, I used backup funding and it went through, I never checked if that was because it had less than a dollar in the funds, or if it was because it couldn't function without a bank account connected, I also never used this card in stores, only online. Paypal can withdraw from a debit card i believe, but you cannot deposit. i have no idea why. you can only add money via bank account it seems.once i bought a prepaid debit, and i wanted to get the money sent to my paypal, and the only way i ended up being able to do it was creating a nother paypal account, adding the debit card to it, and sending the money to my main account. It's probably against some lame paypal rule, but it worked. :D Thats cool, but I guess I am going to have to figure out how to do this another way. I just have cash, and I can't do much with it in the real world, I do so many online purchases on the Internet. I'll figure out another way, maybe a money order will work.
