Steven
I know this may sound stupid considering there is a Web version.....but Im looking to run a web server and wondering Enterprise can do it as well or standard...whatever which is better for a web server...i have all 3?: Enterprise is the "Creme of the Crop" it supercedes all versions below it. Standard Supercedes, Web-Edition.. and Web-Edition Supercedes Windows XP Professional (IMO). They all Include Microsoft Internet Information Services 6.0. That is the key component with which you need to build a web server. Edited April 13, 2003 by xStainDx
reactionary007
if you are concerned with cost and lisencing and all of that, web server would be the best... that is what it was made for... to be a web server at a lower cost... without alot of other server features... if you are not concerned with these things... than i would assume that all 3 perform the same when running web sites or web apps... just some editions have more features concerning other server type things
