Darth Punk
i know that there was a service in winxp to enable/disable the " welcome screen", that standard blue thingie screen. how is that called in win2k3? and does it even excist? i heard already rumors that win2k3 does not have fast user switching, but is that thingie needed for the " welcome screen" ? rezza Veteran Posted April 15, 2003 Veteran Share Posted April 15, 2003 it doesn't have either. no fast user switching and no welcome screen. its not meant to be all nice-looking, its supposed to run fast & with little chance of crashing.

This may be true, but why did they include a place to activate the XP "Themes" if it wasn't suppose to look nice? There's probably some a way, you just need to play around with it until you find it!
