Network connection icons

Recommended Posts

I have recently installed Windows.net 2003 standard edition version-3718

All had been going fine.

However, now my network connection icons have gone from the control panel, and my icons from everywhere have gone!

The network between my computer and another computer does not work, however, my internet still works fine (ADSL).

I have checked services.msc to make sure all stuff is ok and i have enabled all the stuff to make sure that everything works, but still no luck on the LAN side of things!

 NETWORKS

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers

I just wanna make sure I'm understanding you right... The internnet connection on your server works but you can't see any LAN machines? Is that right?

Is the server on the same subnet as the LAN machines? Is the LAN conected via router/switch?

Oh, and welcome to Neowin! :D

The internet connection is via ADSL, and the LAN is via a ethernet card & network hub. & yeah the internet works fine but the LAN does not.

I do not think that the subnet should be a problem cos that is still the same as when everything is working.

Cheers for the welcome!

Why are you still using 3718...

I would only assit any user at this point, if they had an issue with RTM, can't be so sure what you're experiencing isn't just a bug that wasn't fixed up until a later build.
