Performance Gaming Mouse Pad

Recommended Posts

I have a Logitech MX500 Optical Mouse and am interested in purchasing the best mousepad possible for gaming and overall accuracy. I have two cheap no-name pads now, and notice a major difference between the two but I'm still not happy. I really want the best money can buy here.... (It's a mouse pad, how expensive can they get!) :)

Any suggestions?...

Thanks for you're input!

get a small flat peace of wood. it has small enough grain to be perfect for optical mouse.

or once of those fake wood sticky papers. they also have small grain texture for optical mouse...that's what i use :D

no need for those overprices fancyass pads

Necrosoft.... Ok, I read a whole bunch of reviews and agree that the Ratpadz looks like the best game in town. So, I ordered one. I found it for eleven bucks at thinkgeek.com.

Thanks for the info.

MxxCon.... My desk is woodgrain and I've tryed my mouse on that too. While it works ok, it does seem to work better on even my cheap mousepad. However, there are many different wood types and such, so I guess I'm out of luck there. Thanks for your input though.

Well, I received the ratpadzGS yesterday. When I first opened the airborne envelope and pulled out the mouse pad, I was initially disappointed. It seemed like a cheap piece of flat textured plastic. I did like how large the pad was. It's certainly bigger that the standard mouse pads.

I plopped it down on my desk and fired up the box. My opinion then drastically changed. All I can say is WOW! The pad is extremely accurate and the mouse pointer slid effortlessly across the screen. (I did need to adjust the mouse speed slightly to correct the constant overshooting I was encountering.)

So, I fired up VietCong. This is where the experience was even more noticeable. I play games with a simple dot as my recticle and never had this much control. Ratpadz motto is "Because Head Shots Rock" and now I know why.

Necrosoft => Thanks again for the info. This pad rocks! I would recommend it to anyone!
