deus ex is great

mgs2 on pc is a big disappointment, it looks nice visually, but its one of the worst ports ever made.

try raven shield or ghost recon, its almost like splinter cell, but you got a squad to command.

- Metal Gear Solid

- Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance

- IGI2 (bad AI, however, and FPS)

Man, I just had some in my head while I was typing this but I forgot them... I'll try to think of 'em for you.

yea Thief 2 is one of the best games in the last couple of years.. amazing gameplay and grafix.. Deus Ex too is a highly complex RPG, played in FPS mode.. it really sucks you into the world youre playing in.. cant wait for DX2 (this is the official name btw.. :x)..

um if you liked Splinter Cell you should definitelly get some more Tom Clancy productions.. Raven Shield -- Rainbow Six 3 --, The Sum of All Fears, Ghost Recon (oldie but goodie), are all very nice FPS/stealth ops kind of games.. id recommend every Tom Clancy game in that genre..

when you get Deus Ex, make sure you get the latest patch, and also remember to go into the ini file and enable 32bit textures, curved surfaces, and increase the cache size..makes the game look muuuuuuch better. Editing the ini file is the only way to get into these options.

/in fact, you need to go into the ini of EVERY unreal engine game and tweak that stuff or they will run slow most likely, try tweaking the splinter cell ini, I enabled hardware skinning and my FPS shot up a lot!!

also enabled triple buffering.

yeah- mine was disabled for the past 2 years..looks so nice- I wish I could forget what happened in the game and play it all over again with my new settings.. I beat the game before on a crappy celeron with a 32 meg awful terrible radeon card....

The metal gear solid games are nothing like it, they're action games, trying to be stealth ones

Try thief and thief 2

I'm not quite sure of what you're trying to say :p

But if its what I think you are, I have both MGS1 and two, and they are not stealth games, they're pseudo-stealth games.

Yeah, hitman 2 was great, especially as it is much more open ended, although I do think games need some linearity to be fun though.

It took a while, but I did manage to get Silent Assassin on all the levels. :D

Everyone's forgeting System Shock 2. Even more importantly, you can download it (legally) for free right now:

No, you can't.

I would just like to point out that System Shock 2 is actually illegal to download, as it is abandonware, which is still technically illegal.

I did download it, but only because I recently got my cd back from a friend, and it was too scratched to install, and I can't find it anywhere now.
