.Kompressor
What's your recommendation on this. I wan't to install on a 40gig drive these 2 OS's for testing. Windows 2000 Advanced Server (retail) Windows Server 2003 enterprise (evaluation) 1) Should I put them on the same drive in their own partitions as usual or does Server OS's not like this? 2) What order of installation? with workstations it's usually the older OS first then Newer one. or should i use separate drives? Use VMWAre and they co-exist with your current OS. If this is only an evaluation. I never could understand why people run AS, it for large enterprises. Clustering. :p
John Veteran Posted April 26, 2003 Veteran Share Posted April 26, 2003 if you're just evaluating 2003 to see the differences, i suggest using vmware or something similar, like night prowler said. but, if you dual boot them, definately put them on different partitions, and install windows 2000 first. if you install windows 2000 second, you will not be able to boot into 2003 until you repair the boot files.
