tomf
Hi, I hope anyone can help. I'm having 3 network cards in my server one of them got a rtl8029AS chipset. WinXP had the driver inbuildt but win 2003 doesn't. If I try the driver from win2000 the server crashes after booting giving me a bluscreen with BAD_POOL_INFO if I remember correct. Any idea how I can get this card work? Realtek doesn't seem to provide a driver

rezza Veteran Posted May 1, 2003 Veteran Share Posted May 1, 2003 i got my realtek NIC working in win2k3 by copying my windows\inf directory from my xp installation accross, and pointing 2k3 in there when it looks for the driver. i had to find a couple more files from my xp system32 dir too, but once you get started it'll tell you what files you need. alien2xx
You can get some drivers (I did) from www.gigafast.com, they sell their NIC's with the same Realtek chip. It worked for me. Just an idea!! cheers, alien2xx
