What are you reading right now?

Before the Frost by Henning Mankell. It's the 10th book (out of 11) in the Kurt Wallander series.

I started reading the whole series since December. They are truly great if you like crime novels.

Revelation Space - Alastair Reynolds

I got onto it via a rant by a fan of the book(s) who claimed the Mass Effect games are complete rip of this guys work and should burn in hell for it. Granted Mass Effect does borrow alot from this series, but to say it blindly rips it off is overzealous. Anyway, it's pretty good and enjoying it :)

Never liked Paulo Coelho. Can't understand what all the fuss is about with that guy.

Anyway, recently read this.

Very touching. 9.7 out of 10. A must read in my opinion.

One on One,

101 chance meetings, juxtaposing the famous and the infamous, the artistic and the philistine, the pompous and the comical, the snobbish and the vulgar, told by Britain?s funniest writer.

Life is made up of humans meeting one another. They speak, or don?t speak. They get on, or fall out. They laugh, they cry, are excited, are indifferent.

One on One is a chain of 101 extraordinary but true encounters, from Tolstoy rumbling Tchaikovsky in 1876 to George Galloway baiting Michael Barrymore in 2006. The Royal Family giggle at T.S. Eliot, Walter Sickert draws the curtains on the carol-singing Edward Heath, Youssoupoff assassinates Rasputin, Marilyn Monroe commissions Frank Lloyd Wright.

It's a good book so far,
