rage710
BTW you need to get a custom rom on there, Cyanogen is the best :)http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthrea...796&page=24 +1 I love the Cyanogen roms!
NoneAvail
Another vote for cyanogens roms. Even though I'm on the iPhone after the G1 I still keep up and play with the G1 oce in a while.
EndoftheEpiphany
Sounds even cooler than I thought it was; now I want one even more...think I'll go get one.
Subject Delta
Cyanogen is no frills, most of the buggy HTC guts cut out. I recommend that. Not to mention he is putting a lot of the guts from donut into his latest experimental roms. As the G1 won't get an official update, his roms are the best way of getting some of the donut bits. FloatingFatMan
Welcome to the world of Android, now go jailbreak your phone and have some real fun  Frank! For shame! Jailbreaking is for iPhones! You ROOT an Android phone! :p I've got the HTC Hero build of Android running on my old HTC TyTn II (Kaiser) at the moment. Runs reasonably well despite a few hardware bits not having drivers yet...
Minifig
After using a touch screen phone, I don't think I'll ever be able to go back to a standard phone anymore..

Yeah, Jailbreak is just a more... universal... word :p But yeah having root access, and a donut based ROM months before anyone else rocks :D
FloatingFatMan
Yeah, Jailbreak is just a more... universal... word :p The universal word is "unlocked". ;) It's been in use for YEARS. Long before Apple even thought about entering the phone market. :p
Subject Delta
I have always associated 'unlocked' as a phone with no simlock, not with a jailbroken/rooted phone :p

Mr_Edwardo
I have always associated 'unlocked' as a phone with no simlock, not with a jailbroken/rooted phone :p +1 gaining root access / jailbreaking is a very different thing to sim unlocking.
