cherrybomb
Somehow my step dad managed to downlaod a programme called Adult Chat. I have tried everything to remove it but it just keeps re-installing. I've used spybot, ad-aware, deleted all reg files and anythnig to do with it but it jsut re-installs itself each time! it says that it is linking to C://adultchat.exe but there is no such programme. Help!
nosocks
check that you're showing all system and hidden files, also run a program called msconfig.exe to see if anything is being run at startup that you don't think should be.
HPMCommander
go out to dos... do 'dir /a', if it's there, then do 'attrib adultc~1.exe -s -h -t'

Samoa
Go into safe mode and do a search. Delete all that show up. You could also download adware version 6 and update to current. Once that is in place then you run it to it should show all spyware on your system. Nevermind that DOS stuff.

cherrybomb
I have kinda sorted it by stopping the process at the start up. My ad-aware is the newest version, it finds a lot of the adult chat stuff but not the main hidden bit which re-installs the whole bloody thing. But it's out the way now so thanks for ur help.
